About
We live under prohibition.
But what we’re being denied isn’t alcohol, it’s a basic human right: the right to speak. This time our government is not to blame, the ban is self-imposed. For too long we have taken a vow of silence when we’re out in the world. We’ve become a captive audience, loyal to the customs that dictate our division. Daily, we miss chances to connect with one another and to revel in our collective humanity. We miss out on the joys that can arise from candid conversation…all because we can’t afford look away from a 3 inch screen.
We’ve grown so addicted to digital that we sacrifice real conversation like junkies, and we suffer the side effects. Although constantly surrounded by people, we feel tragically alone. We’ve forgotten how great real human interaction feels because the “like” button has desensitized us to it. We have fallen mute.
We aim to strike down this prohibition by embracing the power of real face to face conversation. We bootleggers will provide the topic and you rebels will start the conversation. We want to break the silence because we believe that more genuine human connection equals more genuine happiness.
Speaking is easy. So try it.
